Thought I would post this...

...does a conforter catch on fire? By putting it in a dryer at the laundromat. Yep, that's all it takes.

I did about a month's worth of laundry today...and didn't want to screw around with a single washer and dryer, so I took it to the laundromat near where I go tanning. It's a pretty modern facility, and clean (one of the few that doesn't let people smoke inside...never understood that). SOOO...I put in my cozy Calvin Klein comforter, and my 3 favorite bath sheets (Ralph Lauren 6ft. by 3.5ft) - all of which feel sooo nice to touch...and I put it on for 20 minutes to dry. I'm folding other laundry...notice that it stopped. Check it to see if it's dry...nope, not quite yet - another 10 minutes on medium heat will do it. Pop the quarter in and turn it on...then about 3 minutes later smoke fills the room, and it smells like burning paper. Sure enough, my comforter and towels are on FIRE...not just singed, but flames and all.

I will be calling the manager around 7pm to discuss what to do...if I get ANY resistance on them replacing those items with comparable items I'll send in to their insurance company. :-D
